Governors' Project 2024

Governors' Project 2024

This exciting initiative is an individual pupil project which is completed during the summer holiday by pupils that are moving into Years 7 and 8; the final two years of Prep School.

The idea is that each pupil produces a creative, original project. This need not be written and can involve any format or media that most excites them. The brief is extremely wide and the theme of ‘Summer’ for this year’s project has generated a wide variety of different ideas.

The boys' project could be practical: making something. It could be written: researching something. It could be creative: designing, drawing or painting something. It could be performance based: singing, cooking a meal, or producing a video. It could involve art, pottery, electronics, video, photography, natural history, conservation, music, design, history, ICT, creative writing or making original games. The possibilities are endless.

At the start of the Autumn Term, the boys exhibited their work for the School Governors, parents and relatives. The boys were able to talk about their projects and answer questions about the work involved. Being able to discuss and explain their individual work is a key element to the project.
